When searching for a reliable guide, always look for well-worn boots…..….

The level of stress, pressure, and uncertainty we all face today has reached epic proportions.  Our world is changing at a pace difficult to comprehend.Building a rewarding life can be challenging, especially when familiar strategies no longer seem to be producing results.

Building a rewarding life can be challenging, especially when familiar strategies no longer seem to be producing results.

The desire to seek the counsel of an experienced guide is not uncommon.  Many of us walk through our life feeling isolated or alone. With our thoughts and emotions.  Speaking honestly of our fears, hopes, and personal challenges is hardly water cooler discussion and can stretch the limits of even our most intimate relationships.

Who is willing to dive in when the need arises?

I offer perspective and counsel at these moments.  I draw from a board range of life experience and over 25 years of guiding men and women as they reveal their authentic voices and develop effective strategies for life.

The road to self-mastery and emotional agility is paved with what lies concealed within each of us.  Few of us see ourselves clearly.  I use discretion and encouragement to help my clients discover “hidden assets” in their character such as clarity, purpose, and decisiveness.. Their answers are often hidden in what lies unconscious or unspoken.

An authentic, rewarding life rests on a foundation of integrity, accountability, and stewardship.  We build authentic lives as we reach for personal understanding, purpose, and significance.

Are you facing a crossroad?  Perhaps you feel overwhelmed by a big decision!

We all reach moments in life where the path forward is uncertain.  Decisions made at a crossroad can challenge and liberate.  Critical choices are best approached with discernment and wisdom rather than indecisiveness and fear.

Crossroads shape our lives, exerting unique pressures on our complex but exquisitely adjusted machinery.  Don’t get me wrong; I’m not suggesting are lives are “machinery.”   However, the system of reactions, sparks, and shock absorbers that we develop to cope are often neglected.

The mentoring and coaching I  offer will help you make critical decisions with greater confidence.  You will learn to benefit from what you think and what you feel, re-calibrating your machinery’s timing as you learn to make significant decisions at your crossroads with wisdom and confidence.

Wisdom the ability tolerant from experience, using the insight gained to shape the future.

Who is Snake Bloomstrand

My interest and Study of how people mature was first inspired by my questions.  Unfortunately, most of us mostly left alone to figure life out, and we end up none the wiser as a result.  Despite doing what I thought I was supposed to do (Family/Career/Home), I was unsatisfied.  I couldn’t shake the feeling that something important had been neglected in my education.  So I went searching for a blueprint detailing how to build a meaningful life.

I have been a leader workshop facilitator and trainer, and I am currently leader emeritus of an international men’s organization.  In my work designing and developing programs for both corporate and non-profit organizations.  I’ve led over 150 various workshops and worked in a wide range of cultures across the world.  I’ve found myself in uniquely challenging environments.  I worked in South Africa shortly after the end of the apartheid era and had worked with both veterans and active duty Special Forces.  As well as working with inmates in maximum security prison in the US.  My examples are dramatic, but what I discovered is remarkably similar, regardless of the culture we inhabit:

A sincere desire for love, respect, and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution unites us as humans across the globe.

My experience is broad and includes a close brush with death.  At one point diagnosed with stage 4 Lymphoma, I now understand serious illness first-hand.  I never anticipated having to endure the challenge of a serious illness in my fifties and have learned surprising lessons from a place of extreme vulnerability.  Now, thanks to a complete recovery, I have a deeper understanding of and passion for life.  I experienced that the pressures a serious illness can exert on a family or an individual often are remarkable, and am grateful that this side of life is no longer a mystery.

I offer perspective and counsel at these moments. I draw from a broad range of experience and over 25 years of guiding men and women as they reveal their authentic voices and develop effective strategies for life.

Never did I discover a blueprint. However, I have deified critical tools that can be used to build a rewarding a significant life.  Through my own experience and the lessons taught by countless great teachers, I have become an expert on the life changing events we navigate, how these events can shape our lives, and a method of mastery that can be used by men and women to distill life experience into wisdom.

Those close to me say I have an unusual sense of humor. I figure a man named “Snake” doing this type of work in a large mid-western city had better have a sense of humor.  I am in my sixties and living in Minneapolis, Mn.  In addition to coaching, I am a husband, father, grandfather, author, and working artist.
